If global warming and global politics were to go toe to toe, who do you think would win? I know who would win – neither of these two. That’s because global warming is global politics. The two are inseparable in some very alarming and provocative ways. No wonder the global warming activists are so heated, but just because politics will be politics doesn’t mean that global warming is all that the activists claim it to be. As a rule, politics complicates things. Things get even more complicated, however, where the myth of global warming presumes man-made causes.

Government Control Central

Though I know, and many other qualified scientists and environmentalists with me, that global warming is a myth, I have no intentions of twisting and tweaking the facts for political control – but some nations do. It’s appalling, but true. The logic runs something like this: create a “reasonable” scare and position oneself to collect the money aimed at preventing that threat from occurring. This is the sometimes ruthless scenario played out time and time again in the global political arena, and the prevailing mood among leading nations is in favor of establishing this logic as status quo.

Big Business for Global Economies

Where is the motive for such criminal logic, you might ask? One need look no further than the nearest major, alternative energy giant. In the US, alternative technologies must have been waiting in the wings at least since 1961 when Nixon first tried his hand at global warming activism, and now their time has finally arrived. Now, even more new ways to turn a green buck exist as research funding and grants for sustainable, green alternatives increase steadily. With money as a new impetus for saving the Earth, no entity can be trusted to tell the real truth. That’s politics.

Money Talks

Let’s dig a little deeper. Who stands to benefit the least and lose the most if it turns out that man is not the main cause of global warming? Right now, it’s the thousands of governments, political bodies and multinational corporations with heavy investments in green technology in the position to absolutely fail if the real truth is revealed. As it turns out, these global warming advocates are the very ones in control of the global political spectrum, and control they do. The small voice of balanced reason can barely be heard over prevailing public opinion, and that’s global politics.

World Leaders Take Sides

With all this in mind, the rhetoric of world leaders can be seen in a different light than put forth. For instance, the Pope has encouraged global warming activism by indicating that everything possible to prevent it should be done “before it’s too late.” Powerful figures like the Pope are in precise positions to influence public opinion despite facts to the contrary. Whether it’s opinion based on faulty facts or opinion based on deep pockets, some opinion can be stunningly powerful. Unfortunately, world leaders can be paid by the highest bidder. That’s global politics, too.

Just the Truth, Please

I, like so many other critical thinkers out there, simply want the truth – not opinion, not the lobbied version – just the truth. If a growing number of facts are now indicating that global warming is not man-made and will likely not have the catastrophic effects predicted, then presenting global warming as if is is an inevitable truth is, in short, one big lie that just so happens to be paying out hefty dividends. I, for one am not buying it, and if I choose to steward the earth into the sustainable future it’s not likely to be based on a load of powerful lies or dangerous hot air.

When it comes to the infamous global warming debate, Washington stands to benefit from winning the argument. In more ways than one, the US federal government backs global warming advocates not because its the right thing to do for the Earth and for a sustainable future, but because it’s smart business. The resulting scenario is a case of cops and robbers with all the lines blurred and grayed beyond sensible recognition. At the heart of the matter is the scientific fact that many scientists now agree on – global warming is a myth and not a man-made phenomena.

Windfalls to Special Interests

However, lobbyist for clean coal, ethanol and other alternative energy sources often suggest otherwise to top Washington officials wielding the power to make or break global warming matters. This means the control of financial windfalls from global warming initiatives is subject to tacit relationships between legislators and special interest groups. These relationships stand to benefit most from the view that global warming can be reduced by capping CO2 emissions – the so-called major cause of global warming. The more seasoned the relationship, the greater the windfall.

Wall Street Speculation

Speaking of cap and trade, it just so happens to be a purposed solution for man-made global warming that has failed in Europe due to rampant trading of carbon permits – trading that was not anticipated but was definitely forseeable. Now, Washington and even some state governments are scrambling to carve out a solution that excludes Wall Street – but not all of Washington believes this is beneficial. The current cap and trade auction scenario is based on the assumption that the free market can best take care of inequlities among the biggest CO2 emitters, but I do not agree.

Higher Costs for Tax Payers

For one thing, the capitalists of Wall Street may still be of the ludicrous notion that Washington owes them a favor or two despite recent bailout bliss. Windfalls to specials interests plus Wall Street speculation can only mean one thing for tax payers, increased costs. In the form of higher taxes, the increases create pure dividends for Washington. In the form of rising energy costs, they represent indirect dividends that ultimately go towards scratching the backs of the alternative energy lobbyists. Then, the cycle starts all over again – Washington dividends, taxpayers’ doom.

Simple Cost Benefit Analysis

I must admit even with all the facts in front of me, I still was not convinced. That is, until I sat down and did a simple cost benefit analysis using one piece of legislation proposed in December 2010 called the Clear Act. The Clear Act is predicted to create jobs in green manufacturing and construction. I ask at what cost? Lets say the US aimed at reaching Kyoto protocol targets by 2012. It’s estimated that 2.4 million jobs could be lost and $300 billion in economic output as well. Can the Clear Act’s “cap and dividend” approach really make up for such deep costs? I think not.

Cap and Dividend

With monthly checks of $1000 to $6000 going to taxpayers, cap and dividend approaches may seem like appealing alternatives to the Washington dividends likely with cap and trade scenarios, but I’m not convinced. I know that the special interest lobby-Washington dividend cycle will continue to grind out negative consequences for taxpayers. For most of us, it will take more than a few thousand per month to keep up with its savage pace. This is thus the design of a crooked and fallen system where one of the biggest scams of the century pays hefty Washington dividends.

For a very long time, politicians and scientists have said that the average temperature on our planet is rising every year and we should change our way of life style in order to preserve our world for future generations. On the other hand, there is a different group of scientists who affirm that global warming is a myth. Some even go so far as saying governments and authorities know this, but still support it because it distracts the voters’ attention. This debate has always got my attention and I started researching more about it.

What amazed me was how a group of scientists showed how the most reliable sources of temperature data are gathered from the satellites. Their data is gathered from all over the globe, not just from particular areas; it is very accurate and there is no room for human-error. And what do their studies show? That there is no global warming danger.

Previous studies supporting global warming have been gathering data from land-based stations; this particular research method can be inaccurate and only covers a small part of any area, so it is quite hard to make error-free conclusions. I was quite surprised to learn that several of these stations were positioned quite near towns and cities; this particular localization brings so many confounding variables to the table. As well all know, just because statistics can show that something is significant, it does not mean that it can be generalizable to the whole planet.

I recently read articles about how the efforts made by our government to reduce greenhouse gases are very expensive and so far do not provide good results. I can’t help but think about how all the money our government is investing is ending up in the hands of big companies that are connected with clean energies business. Can you imagine what that will mean for you and me? The average tax-paying citizen will have to contribute even more with even higher taxes to balance the reckless economic decisions. One can clearly see how a small group of people has so much to gain from the mass hysteria caused by global warming.

What if climate change is really happening? Could it really be our fault? Global temperatures have been going up and down throughout Earth’s history; there were times in the beginning of human civilization when it was warmer than it is now. We adapted to decreases in temperature, I am quite certain we can adapt to anything our future brings us.

In my opinion, global warming is just hype. Our government seems to support it, but we have to ask ourselves, why are the authorities so reticent when it comes to looking at the whole picture? I think we should not just believe everything we are being showed. I question issues that are presented to me like supreme truths. In the end, we all know that people in power will do almost everything to reach their ends. Information is our power and knowledge about our geological history can lead us to the truth.

Emissions trading, also known as the global warming market or cap and trade, is an attempt to control pollution and emission levels by giving traders economic incentives for lowering their rate of emissions. There is a lot of money now in reducing emissions, saving the planet, hugging trees, and so on. Al Gore himself commented on the bonus features of “An Inconvenient Truth” that you need to “follow the money.” When you dig deep enough, you’ll see that energy companies are still getting rich on this, even though it would seem that oil companies could only lose money in a campaign to lower emissions.

Carbon trading is a scheme that was proposed by Goldman Sachs, and has now made it through the White House and the Senate. It’s based on putting a cap on the emissions that a particular business is allowed to produce. Oil companies understandably aren’t thrilled about that, but they are still making some green by being closely tied in with financial and investment firms. So who really gains from this new carbon emissions trading system? Again, it’s the financial companies like Goldman Sachs who make the most on it, just like usual. The rich get richer and the poor get taxed. In 2009, the entire carbon emissions trading operation of Constellation Energy was purchased by Goldman Sachs.

Al Gore isn’t getting left behind either. He owns a company called Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers that deals in venture capital. They provided the capital for a firm that produces the equipment needed to get the most efficiency out of energy grids, and guess what happened next? Out of $3.4 billion given out by the U.S. Department of Energy, Al Gore’s little company Silver Spring got $560 million. Al Gore is well on his way to becoming the first billionaire from carbon trading.

Of course everybody remembers Enron, the infamous energy trading company that went down for embezzlement. They were among the first to capitalize on the global warming market. It’s easy to see how closely intertwined the government and the corporations are on this, and it isn’t difficult to pinpoint why a lot of wealthy people could stand to gain from the continuing idea that global warming is real. I mean, Al Gore, one of America’s most famous supporters of global warming, is now filthy rich because of it.

The Kyoto Protocol was the treaty that put a cap on carbon emissions for the first time, and was supported by many famous political figures. If you didn’t know, Ken Lay, CEO of Enron, Al Gore, and Bill Clinton all held meetings at the White House to discuss the Kyoto Protocol before it was made official. Ken Lay and George Bush were once friends as well, although Bush refused to sign the Protocol for unknown reasons.

Since the beginning of time, Earth has been through many ecological transformations. From the peaks of Mount Everest, to the depths of the Pacific Ocean, climatic temperature has been one of the factors that have shaped the land we live on today. As we look around us, nature is a constant driver of change. It took Earth nine billions years to get to this point in evolution; a constant sustainable temperature that inhabits complex organisms. Throughout Earth’s life history, it is only natural for the planet to adjust itself and continue evolving as it has for millions of years.

A Natural Occurrence

Earth has a history of temperature change, including warming trends that started well before humans came into existence. While evidence may prove the temperatures have risen within the past century; we have little evidence that the cause is due to human activity. In my opinion, global warming activists are using natural warming cycles to create a fear based movement. A thousand years ago, the planet went through a period of global warming, called the medieval warm period. Temperatures were higher, but there were no automobiles or coal burning plans to blame it on.

Long-Term Climate Changes

Climate is generally defined as the long-term average of weather at a distinct geographical area. It is essential to remember that climate changes can be defined for different spans of time, and that this has occurred throughout Earth’s life span. Recent global warming changes are studied by drilling deep ice core samples from the Vostok Greenland tundra. The Vostok ice sample shows that in the past 450,000 years, there were 5 major climate shifts. These ice examples show that climate change, or global warming or cooling are a natural occurrence within Earth’s life cycle.

Earth’s Warming Phase Cycle

As I mentioned, 1000 years ago the Earth had a warming period called the medieval warm period. 2000 years ago, there was yet another warm period called the Roman warm period. Again, there was no industrialization then. There were no cars, factories, methane gases, or coal burning that could be the cause of the climate warming. Finally, the Vostok ice core sampled showed there was another warm period 3000 years ago called the Minoan warm period. The late 20th century’s warm period falls into a cyclical stage that is showcased in the ice samples, occurring every 1000 years.

A Recent Global Warming Phase

The past couple of decades have showcased a warm period that was similar to the Medieval Warm Period, a phase that showcased extraordinary European achievement. Our recent warm period, from 1976-2000’s appears to be coming to an end with record cold weather occurring every winter. In fact, this past winter (2010-2011) has broken several records for having the largest blizzard in the U.S. in over 50 years. Also, new temperature lows have been recorded throughout cities around the world. Many scientists who study sunspot climate behavior believe the next century will be much cooler.

If serious climate change was really brought about by only two or three factors like burning fossil fuels or carbon dioxide emissions, we would have died out as a planet thousands of years ago. The hype is blown so out of proportion because if people are panicked about something, they’re more likely to fall behind the person spreading the hype without checking out the proper facts. What are the facts then?

First of all, climate change is the result of hundreds of thousands of individual factors. The oceans, seismic movements like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, minute solar changes, natural gases, and season all play roles in the direction that the global temperature trends. This has been going on for millions of years, long before humans even had a chance to breathe in oxygen and blow out carbon dioxide. Honestly, it’s a little egotistical to even think that we would be at the center of all this, although of course in years past we always believed we were at the center of everything. Galileo was even sentenced to death for his preposterous idea that the sun was at the center of the universe, not the earth.

Second of all, satellite readings, our most accurate source of temperature and weather data, have shown absolutely no warming trends since we began collecting data this way nearly 25 years ago. Data collected from weather balloons provide the exact same figures, with an average variation of .01 degrees Celsius. In fact, the only weather stations that show any warming changes are land based data collection centers near growing urban populations.

This data is hardly objective, and even if it was it provides only a localized reading, not global, and not above the surface. The troposphere, where warming trends would most likely occur that would cause global warming, has not experienced an increase in heat, but has actually cooled several times in the past few decades.

The whole concept of global warming has been completely blown out of proportion. A lot of people still quote Al Gore’s famous shockumentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” proving just how much misinformation has circulated and taken root in people’s ideals and beliefs. One of the shots in “Truth” was actually taken directly from the disaster movie “The Day After Tomorrow,” and was used to illustrate how the polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate.

The United States government spends more money researching global warming than all other countries in the world combined. Where do you think that money’s coming from? The real inconvenient truth is that the government is milking this hype as much as possible and taxpayers are happily trotting after the talking heads, believing every single word they say without trying to find the facts for themselves.

I see a lot of people voicing their opinions about climate change, and how mankind is completely responsible for it. Then, come to find out, these people don’t even fully understand what climate change is. That personally drives me crazy; if you’re going to have an opinion on something, that’s fine, as long as you know what you’re talking about. Otherwise, where is your proof? Before forming an opinion about climate change, you need to understand it as much as possible, so maybe this will help.

Understanding Climate Change

Climate itself includes many patterns, mainly involving precipitation, wind, temperature, humidity, and even the seasons. Think about how the summers have been getting warmer, for instance, with hot weather in surprising places. Climate change isn’t just about weather though; instead, it pertains to how the seasons change over a fairly long span of time. Those changes are how essential ecosystems are shaped over time, but there is fundamental proof that the Earth has been going through extreme climate changes throughout its history.

Climate Change vs. Global Warming

Many people also believe that climate change is the same thing as global warming, but that is not true, although the two things are related. Global warming is actually the cause for climate changes – but that is no bad thing. Activists use this to try and make the point that global warming is only happening now, it has never happened before, and climate changes prove that. However, over different eras throughout history, the climate has undergone much more intense changes than you see right now.

The Cause of Climate Change

I’ve noticed that the biggest debate among those who think climate change and global warming is natural versus those who believe humans cause it, has to do with the actual cause of climate change. Activists try to say that it’s all carbon dioxide and nothing else. That is not quite the full story, though. Highly respected scientists who support the idea of natural climate change point out that something as innocuous as water vapor has a hugely detrimental effect on the climate, even more so than CO2.

The Truth about Climate Change

My opinion on climate change is different that the opinion special interest groups try to make everyone else believe. I’ve seen and read enough to believe that, all throughout its history, the Earth has gone through climate changes. Many of them have been significantly worse than what we are seeing now. There are scientists, for instance, who point out that during certain eras in the past, even the North Pole was hot enough to grow a garden. The climate goes through consistent changes over time – it heats up, then it cools down, and life goes on.

There are groups, businesses, and even governments out there who would like you to believe that you and me and everyone else are all personally responsible for climate change. That is a ridiculous assertion, especially when you take the time to look at the facts. I may not be a professional geologist, physicist, biologist, or oceanographer, but I do know how to research. The things I’ve found make it pretty clear that the Earth has gone through climate changes dozens of times before; that is part of its pattern. It happened before any of us were around and will continue after.

Although I do not believe that global warming has been caused solely by humans, I do believe that there are ways to reduce natural global warming which in turn can make people healthier and save money as a result.

Recycling and Reusing

Recycling is probably one of the most well known and popular ways to reduce natural global warming. It’s also one of the easiest ways, and frankly, in most places it’s actually a requirement now. For instance, my city requires every resident to recycle items like cardboard, cans, bottles, and things of that nature. Recycling and reusing what materials you can are both extremely beneficial actions to the environment, and it can actually both save and make you money – such as by taking cans and bottles back yourself.

Protect Your Home

Whether you believe that global warming is caused more by CO2 or water vapor, there are still ways you can reduce it in your home. For one thing, you can choose energy efficient light bulbs, which last longer and save money as well. You can also insulate your hot water heater, take care with how you heat and cool your home, and make sure all your air filters are clean. You can take steps to use less hot water, as well, and save energy by drying clothes or dishes more naturally.

Plant Trees and Plants

This might seem corny, but think about it for a minute. Pundits who support the belief that humans cause global warming maintain that one of the reasons is because there is so much deforestation going on – and then they go and clear cut some more trees. I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly not responsible for that; no one asked my permission or sought my opinion. Still, you can combat that by planting trees in your yard, nurturing more plants, starting a garden, or anything like that.

Drive Smart

It’s not logical for everyone to buy a smart car or an electric car or a hybrid; they cost a lot of money, and really depend on whether or not you believe the CO2 caused by humans is the main cause of global warming. Still, you can plan your day better so that you’re on the road less. For example, you can try to shop at just one store, or walk from shop to shop rather than driving. If you can walk somewhere or ride a bike, you can do that instead of choosing to drive – which is also a healthier option for you.

There are lots of ways to reduce natural global warming; these are just a few of them. You absolutely don’t have to conform to all the “remedies” touted by activists who believe that humans and only humans are responsible for global warming. A lot of those choices aren’t practical for regular people like you and me. However, as mentioned, there are lots of little things you can do that can still help the environment, things that won’t cost you money and actually have been proven to help.

Global warming is an extremely hot topic and separate factions are at war with each other. I believe global warming is an entirely natural occurrence that happens because of certain aspects of the environment. There are many facts and opinions which prove this theory, twenty of which will be detailed here to show why global warming occurs naturally.

Top 20 Natural Global Warming Facts:

At the present moment, scientific proof is lacking in a number of respects pertaining to global warming. Specifically, there is no sufficient proof of a link between man made greenhouse gases and global warming.

Statistics show that only 0.00022 percent of all CO2 emissions throughout history are caused by humans. That could not have caused the current climate issues.

As well, the Earth itself has a history of going through hotter periods of time. In fact, the Earth went through a similar phase 800 years prior to the current increase in carbon dioxide emissions.

Following the Second World War, for example, CO2 levels saw an enormous increase. However, for 40 years after that fact, temperatures around the globe saw significant decreases.

Throughout history, other happenings have disproved the link between CO2 emissions and rising temperatures. Specifically, there have been many times where CO2 emissions and temperatures were much higher.

Temperatures and climates go through trends like everything else. Currently, the 33.3 degrees Fahrenheit, increase is in line with determined and established climate trends over time, all of which took place naturally.

There are suggestions stemming from the scandal called Climate-Gate that current reports on global warming have been exaggerated substantially and may be manipulative.

In the community of scientists and climate specialists, a theory must usually be met by 4,000 favorable reviews. With the IPCC theory pertaining to global warming, however, only 60 scientists have upheld and driven the theory.

Activists and scientists say that global warming and melting polar ice caps are the reason seal levels are increasing. However, sea levels have actually been going up for the past 10,00 years, since the last big ice age.

Further research makes the more believable suggestion that the sun itself is the cause for most of the climate changes occurring right now, and has been for the past 100 years.

Other experts make it clear that the current change in climate temperatures is too complex and complicated a matter to be caused by one thing. So, it cannot possibly be solely the fault of man made emissions.

Many experts also believe that research accusing humans of global warming is shallow. There is not enough proof to publish such results.

People in the United States are among the only ones who believe global warming is man made. In the UK, for instance, citizens typically eschew the idea.

A lot of scientists think it is absurd to blame global warming on just one trace gas. Other, outside factors band together to affect the atmosphere and climate.

Insofar as greenhouse gases go, CO2 is considered minor. Water vapors are far more serious, and we have no control over those at all.

Many scientists believe that water vapor and cloud covers are more responsible for the current temperatures. They amount to more than the concentrations of CO2.

Solar studies have produced evidence that suggest the increase in temperature is temporary. Over the coming decades, the climate will cool significantly.

The “problem” of melting glaciers is actually a myth. In fact, glaciers go through cycles of melting and growing over hundreds of years.

The belief that CO2 will harm Antarctica, Greenland, and the polar ice caps is greatly exaggerated. Research disproves that so-called theory.

Activists have been worried that temperatures have increased since 1900. However, those changes are consistent with long observed cycles that are completely natural.

Contrary to popular belief, there are actually a lot of scientists who support the theory of natural climate change, as opposed to believing that global warming is wholly the fault of humankind. Some activists prefer to imply that these scientists are crackpots, but I’ve found that the greater majority of them are highly respected in their fields. I simply haven’t heard a lot about them, and you probably haven’t either. The reason for that it simple: they don’t agree with the manipulative agenda that insists the human race is responsible for climate change.

Scientists Who Support Natural Climate Change:

Khabibullo Abdusamatov, who is both an astronomer and a mathematician at the Pulkova Observatory, which is part of the esteemed Russian Academy of Sciences, believes that climate change is natural. He is on record as stating that he believes global warming has more to do with solar radiation. In other words, it is caused mainly by the sun. He further believes that there isn’t sufficient scientific proof that the greenhouse effect affects the Earth’s atmosphere.

Another astronomer, Sallie Baliunas, also makes it clear that climate change is natural. She works at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, implying strongly that she’s one of our time’s brightest minds. Again, she clearly states her opinion that greenhouse gases made by humans are not sufficient to cause the warming in climate temperatures. Most scientists who take this position are actually in agreement about this point.

Similarly, George V. Chilingar, who teaches at the University of Southern California as a professor of Civil and Petroleum Engineering, agrees. In order, he thinks the climate change is due to solar radiation first, out-gassing second, and microbial activities third. He doesn’t think there is enough proof to support the theory that the climate is changing because of humans or our activities. Clearly he is not the only scientist who holds that belief.

William Happer is a physicist who works at Princeton University. With a specialty in spectroscopy and optics, he knows what he’s talking about when he states a belief that the current climate changes are consistent with warming trends that took place in the past. This has happened before. This supports the theory that the Earth periodically and consistently goes through climate changes – and it’s always fine; the world hasn’t ended because of them.

Tad Murty is an oceanographer, and he actually believes that global warming is a hoax. Not just that, but he believes it’s actually the largest hoax ever put forth from the scientific community. His belief is that the Earth’s atmosphere hasn’t changed significantly in millions of years. Further, he believes, again, that the Earth and its atmosphere consistently goes through periods of heating and cooling, and states that during some eras, tomatoes could be grown in the North Pole!

These are just a few of the scientists who support natural climate change. There are many more, as well as a number of others who simply doubt that the projections of the IPCC, or Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, are entirely accurate. I had no idea that so many pillars of the scientific and environmental communities felt the way I do about climate change and global warming. Seeing their beliefs have cemented mine that there is no way global warming can be wholly the fault of humankind, or even primarily our fault. It is completely natural instead.
